MARIO BARRERA
Producer/director. Professor emeritus in the Department of Ethnic Studies, University of California, Berkeley. Previous film projects: “Chicano Park”, 1988 (producer); “The Party Line”, 1996 (writer/director/producer); “My Life Among the Gopis”, 1998 (writer). Major published works: Race and Class in the Southwest (Notre Dame, 1979); Beyond Aztlan (Notre Dame, l989). Mario has written several feature length screenplays and is working on a novel.
DEE BARRERA
Producer/editor. A registered nurse, Dee learned Final Cut Pro in order to edit this film. This was her first film project. A long- time heart patient, she died shortly after the film was completed.
